Invisible is a great thriller. I can’t say too much more about the plot because the twists and turns are the whole point of reading a book that wrong foots the reader at every turn . . . Christine Poulson kept me reading by giving out just enough information to intrigue and puzzle so that I had to read just one more chapter. That’s why, in the end, I just dropped everything else and read the last half of Invisible in one sitting.’

A new venture

I’ve finally got round to doing something that I have been meaning to do for ages. For the last year or two I’ve been enjoying the newsletters produced by other writers. And now I’ve got one myself. It is up and running and open to subscribers here: christinepoulson.co.uk/newsletter.

My good friend and web-site designer, Madeleine Parkyn, designed it and I’m very pleased with the way it looks. There will be the usual kind of features, news about my writing and events that I’m taking part in, but as with my blog, the focus will be less on my own work, and more on my reading life. I’ll be writing about books I’ve enjoyed and, as a special feature, I’ll be choosing a Golden Age crime novel to review and offer as a prize.

So, a new venture – and I hope you’ll want to join me. There is a free short story, The Egyptian Cat, for subscribers.

This is great news, Christine! I went to the link to sign up, and wasn’t able to there, but I am really eager to do so. I think a newsletter is a great idea!

Thanks, Margot! I’m sorry the link didn’t work. I’ve tried and for me it did, so I don’t know what went wrong. Sigh . . . You should be able to get it by going directly to my website. The page should pop up. Please could you let me know if it doesn’t?

        Thanks, Christine,
I wasn’t able to sign up using my laptop Chrome browser, but I switched to my ‘phone’s Chrome browser and had no trouble at all. At any rate, looking forward to reading your story, and excited for your newsletter!
